Coconut Coir Scrubber (Pack of 3)
Item description
Plastic scrub pads and sponges are in almost every Indian kitchen. They wear down, shed tiny plastic bits into the drain and start smelling within days. Coconut coir is what our grandparents used before plastic arrived, and it still does the job well.
These scrubbers are made by hand from coconut husk fibre. They’re firm enough to clean oily kadais and idli plates, yet they don’t leave scratches on steel. Since coir doesn’t soak up water like a sponge, it dries quickly and stays fresh longer.
If you’ve never used a coir scrubber before, this pack of 3 is a good place to start. If you want one that holds its shape longer for heavy daily use, try our zigzag stitched coir scrubber.
Why you’ll like it
- Handmade from natural coconut coir
- Cuts oil and food stains from vessels
- Doesn’t scratch steel
- Dries fast and doesn’t smell
- No plastic, fully biodegradable
- Use it for dishes, the sink, tiles and bottles
- Pack of 3 at an easy price
How to use
Wet it slightly for everyday dishes, or use it dry for burnt or sticky vessels. Add a little dishwash gel, scrub and rinse.
Care tips
Rinse well after use and let it dry in an airy place. Drying it in the sun now and then helps it last longer. Replace it when the fibres start to loosen.
